Text/HTML Module - Overview
The DotNetNuke Text/HTML (FCKeditor) module is one of the essential tools needed to build and maintain your website. It provides a WYSIWYG editor for creating your own content either as HTML or as plain text. The module interface is very similar to most popular document editors and should be easy to learn. Click on the different icons below to learn more about the many tools the Text/HTML module's 'Rich Text Editor' empowers you with.

Switch the window to source mode to fine tune your html code. You should understand html before attempting to edit in source mode. (www.w3schools.com is a good free resource for learning html) |

Cut text, tables and images
Highlight text with your cursor and click button to cut text or images from their location. You can also use Ctrl X on a PC or Alt X on a Mac

Copy text, tables and images
Highlight text with your cursor and click button to copy text or images from their location. You can also use Ctrl C on a PC, or Alt C on a Mac

Paste Text, tables and images
Put cursor where you want to insert text you have just cut or copied and click to paste or you can click Ctrl V for a PC, or Alt V for a Mac

Use this tool to paste text you have cut or copied into your web page and it will copy the formatting of the text around it.

Paste your text from Word
Use this tool to remove unwanted formatting from text you have created in Microsoft word. When you click the tool a window will pop up which you paste your text into then click "Clean Up Box" button and then copy and paste it into your web page. |

Use this tool to print out the text you have created or changed in the editor.

This is a spell check tool that is not enabled in order to keep this tool free. You can use the google toolbar spell check as an alternative. It is free and effective.

Undo most changes you have made to the your web page. Note it will only undo changes you have made before you click update.

Use this tool to quickly find a word or phrase located within the web page you are working on in the editor.

Use this tool to quickly find and replace specific words in the web page you are working on. If you click the tool a search box comes up and you enter the word you want to change and the word you want to change it to, then click replace to go through one at a time or click replace all to replace all occurrences of that word.

Use this to quickly select all the text within your editor window.

Use this tool to remove the formatting of text. It will remove all size, font, and decoration of the text you have highlighted
